Fire Fighters

During the October 5th meeting the children were learning fire safety tips.  They had a fireman come in to the room to talk about these safety tips.  Then he showed them the parts of a fire truck and how everything works.

While he was doing his demonstration the kids also got to see first hand how he learns about fires because his beeper went off and they all heard there was a fire.  So he had to close everything up and head out to put out a dumpster fire.

This was when he was heading out to a real fire!

Blankets and Scarves (10-5 Service Project)

At our 2nd MOPS meeting we made fleece blankets and scarves for the Lily Sparrow House and the Crisis Resource Center.

Thanks to our mom's for helping make a difference in the life of a child who will receive this wonderful gift.

If you've never made one before they are super simple and wonderful to enjoy.

Get 2 pieces of fleece material the same size.  Cut out a 4x4 section on the corner to get rid of the excess.  Then cut an approximate 4 inch deep 1 inch wide strip all along the sides.  Tie them together and you have a wonderful handmade blanket to enjoy.

Litter Pick up (9-28 Service Project)

On Tuesday, September 28th, a group of MOPS ladies got together to take part in a litter pickup day.

We started with cleaning up the Fairgrounds park, and ended with chit-chat and play time for the kiddos.

A super big thank you to those who participated in our Litter Pick Up Service Project.
